The release of the Play Station 3 is coming and Sony is working on some last minute adjustments and additions in order to ensure they can do two things when the new console hits store shelves: seed the market with Blu-ray players and give online players more than enough reason to leave Xbox Live.

Due out in the United States on November 17th, here is the latest from Sony.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby Movie Review

Sony has announced that the first 500,000 consoles sold -- can be the 20GB version ($499) or the 40GB version ($599) -- will come packaged with a Blu-ray copy of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

I understand the point of choosing a movie such as this because it is safe for all ages, but I can guarantee that many people purchasing the console would have opted for a film that better shows the increased resolution and contrast of watching Blu-ray. Can anybody think of another Sony film that could have made the cut?

Other than DVD gifts, Sony has also given new details on their online service, The Playstation Network; real original guys. Unlike Xbox Live, the network will be free to play and chat on, but users will get charged to download new games and various extras.

Players were trying to figure out why an annual fee for Xbox Live up until the network offered the arcade. Why pay ~$5 a month for a system that does not play host for online gaming?

Though Sony claims that The Playstation Network is different from Xbox Live with its 'social networking,' every function sounds exactly the same as what we have seen on Xbox; but at least its free.

Sony does plan to cash in on the online network, however, with a 'Playstation store' that will allow gamers to purchase and download music and video games.

The arrival of the new console in November will hopefully answer one question home theatres enthusiasts have been asking all year -- Which is better, HD DVD or Blu-ray?
