I was recently able to get my hands on another
Halo 2 glitch that involves being able to grab the flag from various distances.
If you remember from the Cheaters Online article,
Bungie was working on figuring out how the hell people were able to grab
the flag from up to thirty [game] yards away. Well, after some players went
public, now we all know how to do it.
The Sniper Flag Glitch Tutorial
Yes, it is possible to grab the flag without even being within reaching
distance of it. This technique has been adapted into the Ivory Tower map
as the user can see the flag and grab it almost right next to their own
flag. We are talking about immediate scoring here. Supposedly, this trick
is actually more simple than the dummy glitch. [more below]
To get the Sniper/Flag glitch to work, all you have to do is aim at the
flag with the sniper rifle. Then start zooming in and out repeatedly while
constantly pressing the reload button. Then, turn away from the flag with
the reload button now pressed. Look at any spot and then release the reload
button. Supposedly, the flag should just appear in your hands. However,
the problem I found in the video demonstrating this is whether or not it
is a legit way to do it or not. There are some scenes where a person throws
the player attempting to do the cheat the flag. Whether this sniper flag
