Silver Bullet, the first top track ride at Knott's Berry Farm.
Just last week, my girlfriend, brother, youngest sister and I all attended Knott's Berry Farm for an end of the year thrill. As many of you have heard, California has been experiencing record breaking weather; leaving not much opportunity to ride the new Silver Bullet roller coaster. As we walked in through the main gate we looked up at the twists, turns, and loops that this suspended roller coaster does to its riders [six times!]. We just had to ride the awesome looking Silver Bullet.

Riding Silver Bullet

Now, all four of us met the requirements to experience "the tallest, fastest roller coaster in the west." The roller coaster runs very fast and extremely smooth. If you view your image after the ride, you can actually see some of the Gs pressing down on your face. After riding once, we decided to ride a second time, and realized a perk for those who have children who cannot or do not want to ride Silver Bullet. Since there was only one Silver Bullet train running while I was at Knott's, it is easy to take your small children in line with you, and then have them wait at the exit for you. They remain under survellance [behind a gate], where no one can get to them until your train returns and lets you out. This enables all members of your party to ride at once, instead of leaving individuals to watch the children while only a few ride.

In the end, the ride is great. If you are afraid of coasters that put you in rolls and flips, Silver Bullet is actually an easy introduction, as the ride is extremely smooth and, due to the seating arrangement, you can barely tell when you are upside down [all you see is the back of heads]. The Silver Bullet roller coaster holds true to its reputation, and in my opinion, is the best ride yet at Knott's Berry Farm.

*According to the numbers supplied by Knott's, their attendance has gone up 3% from 2003 to 2004. With Silver Bullet, it should be expected to increase again.
