Big casting update for the upcoming novel adaptation
The Da Vinci Code.
Not that this film doesn't already boast an impressive cast that includes
Tom Hanks, Jean Reno, and Audrey Tautou-- there are just more roles that
need filling. So how about some more big blockbuster names to fill these
roles.
McKellen and Molina Join Da Vinci Code
According to Variety, both Ian McKellen [Lord of
the Rings] and Alfred Molina [Spider-Man 2] have signed on to join Ron Howard
on The Da Vinci Code. Alfred Molina will play the role of Bishop
Arigarosa, who strives to expose the truth [or at least threatened to] of
the Catholic Church and all of Christianity. Ian McKellen will take the
role of Sir Teabing, who is as much interested in the conspiracy as is Robert
Langdon [Tom Hanks].
