Spider-Man himself [Tobey Maguire] has recently signed on to co-star with
George Clooney and Kate Blanchett in the film Good German.
Tobey Maguire Joins Soderbergh
Good German follows an American journalist
who is sent to cover the Allied summit meeting that will carve out control
of post-World War II Germany. However, the reporter is secretly there to
search for a lost love, and when the body of an American soldier washes
up in the Russian zone, he is plunged into a murder mystery.
The Good German is an interesting mix that features an Allied summit
meeting about the split of Germany after World War II with a love and murder
thrown in. And now that its star-studded cast is growing with the addition
of Tobey Maguire, this Steven Soderbergh project is drawing attention.
