'See you on television I will.'
After months of rumors of a Star Wars
television series, it seems that the rumors were confirmed all too easily.
It usually takes Lucas a lot of convincing to convey any details to... well,
anything he does. About a month ago Lucas finally admitted [with ease] that
we could expect a Star Wars television series coming our way, without
stating if it was going to be animated [like Clone Wars] or live action.
Leaving us with the question-- What kind of series should we expect?
Now, while discussing Star
Wars Revenge of the Sith at celebration, Lucas threw a
huge surprise by stating that we can expect TWO Star Wars television series.
Yay!
Lucas Says Two More Star Wars on the way
That is correct, two new Star Wars projects
may be sweeping primetime. But do we still have any idea what to expect?
Well... a little.
What we do know is that Lucas is going to bring Star Wars to television
on two different mediums. The first is animation, where he has already had
tons of success with Star Wars: Clone Wars. However, the new animated
series will be CG, so no more drawn animation for the most part. The other
series will be live-action, meaning we will yet again see lightsabers go
ablaze and real actors playing 'real' [to some] jedis.
A little further down the road this will mean more Star Wars merchandise,
which really makes Lucas hot.
Any more Star Wars movies?
It's not looking like it, especially not episodes VII- IX. However, I would
really like to see the LucasArts hit game Knights of the Old Republic
come to film. If they follow the story line presented in the Xbox game,
they could really have something great. Here is to crossing fingers.
