Chewie is in, Han is not
A while back we received early reports stating
that Han Solo definitely was going to be in Star
Wars Revenge of the Sith and that we should see that he
is being raised by none other than Chewbacca. Everybody started to get excited
and wonder how Han was gonna be. Well, stop wondering, here are the latest
updates for ROTS.
Han Solo is Not in Revenge of the Sith
We all know that Chewbacca shows up for Revenge
of the Sith, but the question fell on Han. First we heard that Han
was definitely in the film, and this was even followed up with story details.
But now it has been confirmed by a user, who has definitely read the latest
Entertainment Weekly,
that Han is now out. In 'their' report, they state that the script for Sith
did call on a Han Solo that was ten years old. But then it hit McCallum
and Lucas right in the face-- "How could you ever cast a young Harrison
Ford?" A damn good question, one that they couldn't seem to ever answer.
So they took the easy road and cast Han right out of the story.
I hate to see him go but am kind of relieved as well. Han Solo has turned
out to be the 'great white hope' for the Star Wars saga. If his
depiction was by-chance ruined by a ten year old kid, the unforgiving fans
out there would be... well... unforgiving.
Revenge of the Sith will Make Me Cry?
Here is a re-visit to something stated long ago. It seems that Lucas believes
that Star Wars Revenge of the Sith will touch our hearts, kind
of like Return of the King did [my sisters would not shut up in
the theatre... cry babies]. While discussing the film, Lucas states, "It's
sad, dark, and basically a tearjerker... It's not a happy film." If
it's a good film [fingers crossed], I will consider it a happy film no matter
what.
