Arnold will not fight in the next Conan. He will remove threats
the bureaucratic way.
Here is an interesting little update out of the
movie mill. Warner Bros has recently given Conan the Barbarian
director John Milius the boot from the next Conan movie. Milius
will now head over to CBS lot to write for a new Western series called Dodge
City.
But who will take the helm of the next Conan?.. None other than Sin
City bad boy Robert Rodriguez.
Rodriguez Helms Conan
This news has the people over at TheArnoldFans
pissed. However, I could go either way on Warner Bros decision. While it
is nice to have the Conan expertise of Milius, how can you go wrong
with Robert Rodriguez?
The film, currently titled King Conan, will only be able to keep
the current title if Arnold Schwarzenegger agrees to come on board. However,
no matter what move from Arnold, Warner Bros is going to have to create
an all-new Conan script that does not have the lingering involvement of
Milius.
While TheArnoldFans cry 'Dead forever is the Milius "King Conan"
script!', I can only follow this up with a simple 'but I like Robert Rodriguez'.
Hopefully they, and you, don't hate me for it.
