A new still from Doom
For all the FPS [first person shooter] gamers out
there, GameSpy got their hands on a few new movie stills from the upcoming
action/horror film Doom.

The new movie stills for Doom remind me
a lot of Aliens [I just bought the SE version], but that is not
necessarily a bad thing. And, with The Rock on board, Doom couldn't
be having a better start. Maybe I should break out my old copy of Doom
II to get caught up on the story.
Anyway, here is a little of what GameSpy
has to say about the latest pics from Doom.
The basic premise of the film places the characters in the year 2145, the same year as the recently released DOOM 3 videogame. Forgoing the Martian setting from the game, a group of marines is sent to a distant (unspecified) planet to secure a science lab under attack from creatures of unknown origin. In addition to The Rock as Sarge, the film also stars Karl Urban as John "Reaper" Grimm, the formerly nameless space marine who acts as the film's central character.
