While having a seat with Premiere
Magazine for the upcoming issue, David Goyer talks about possible
possible sequel options for Batman
Begins and some villains we can expect to see... again.
Joker is Back... Maybe
While discussing the next Batman films-- all of which will have
Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, and Michael Caine -- David Goyer was willing
to give a few hopeful plot details. Here is a little of what he had to say:
The next one would have Batman enlisting the
aid of Gordon and Dent in bringing down the Joker- .... but not killing
him, which is a mistake they made in the first one.
In the third, the Joker would go on trial, scarring Dent in the process.
First off, you can't say anything bad about the
original Batman with Michael Keaton. Compared to the other films,
the original has no mistakes. Personally, I was happy with the demise of
the Joker, even though the laugh haunted my dreams for months afterwards.
But who will play the Joker this time around? Can we expect a return from
Jack Nicholson? Will there be a Robin then also? Well, how about we get
through Batman Begins before thinking too far ahead.
