It has just been announced that not only is Beast
going to be in X-Men 3,
but the actor has been chosen. So, who will be playing the big, blue, and
furry character? None other than Kelsey Grammer; how perfect is that choice!
Kelsey Grammer is Beast
According to Variety,
after Matthew Vaughn finally settled on Vinnie Jones playing the bad-guy
role of Juggernaut, he immediately moved on to find his next character--
Beast. I couldn't imagine a better choice for the big blue-furred creature,
and it seems Vaughn had Kelsey Grammer in the back of his mind for some
time.
According to Avi Arad, the producer, "Kelsey was born to play the role
[of Beast]." If you are unfamiliar with the X-Men comics or cartoon,
Beast is the very intelligent and very mild mannered character that is also
huge [ape like] and tough as nails.
I have got to say that the latest news for X-Men
3 has been a breeze of relief for the X-Men fans out there.
First we lost Singer, then we did not know how many characters would return
for the third film, then we heard that there was production issues, then
we heard Halle Berry was still an issue, and now we hear that all are coming
back, the new mutant additions are better than ever, and 20th Century Fox
still plans to rock out another great film. Sweet relief!
