Just as predicted, Star
Wars Revenge of the Sith has gone on to shatter multiple
box office records in its opening four day run. And, with positive reviews
and word of mouth, this film may have legs to keep rocking for a good while.

Star Wars Revenge of the Sith immediately
smashed a box office record by having the largest opening day gross on Thursday
with a whopping $50M. Revenge of the Sith then went on to have
the third biggest Saturday with $40.9M, and later tied with Spider-Man
and The Matrix Reloaded by crossing the $100M in as little as three
days [three days!]. However, though the film did over $100M in three days
like Spider-Man and The Matrix Reloaded, Revenge of
the Sith actually surpassed both movies in total four day gross; making
it number one in this box office category.
According to BoxOfficeMojo,
Star Wars Revenge of the Sith is already ranked 111 for all time
domestic box office gross and 136 for all time worldwide. With the good
word of mouth that should be coming off of the film, prepare to see Revenge
of the Sith skyrocket through these numbers.
I, as I would hope all Star Wars fans, should be
extremely pleased with these numbers, considering that Star Wars Revenge
of the Sith was such a pleasure to sit through that I have already seen
it twice [and enjoyed it even more the second round].
