For all of you who were impressed by the international
trailer for The Island,
get ready to be even more impressed with the second full trailer for the
Michael Bay film.
The Island Movie Trailer
The latest movie trailer for The Island
is easily the most different of any of the earlier trailers, as it adds
the relationship aspect between Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson. I
guess these two clones have always tried to get close, but the 'laws' of
the facility just don't allow it. I guess that facility thought it would
be strange to have their clones having little baby clones.
Besides the relationship, the latest Island trailer
dives a little bit more into the story and the actual construct of the cloning
facility itself. Some of the scenes gave me little flashbacks to Minority
Report, making me wonder if Michael Bay is dropping The Rock filming
style for something a little more techie.
All in all, The Island looks like it is
going to be a great summer film. The cinematography looks excellent and
the cast is nothing short of phenomenal. A great mix of our upcoming stars
and those who deserve their names in the spotlight a little more often.
And, knowing Michael Bay films, even if The Island doesn't pull
off the story entirely, we should have an entertaining film all the same.
