I know, we need a new Indiana image.
A while back during the opening of Star
Wars Revenge of the Sith, George Lucas had announced that
he had an Indiana
Jones 4 script in his hands and he was 'happy' with it.
However, for another Indy film to work, not only George Lucas must
be happy with what he has.
Indy 4 Script Approval
Jeff Nathanson, who has already had experience
with Steven Spielberg in films such as Catch Me If You Can, wrote
the Indy script that made it through the first round. However,
it is still in question on how much influence or push Lucas gave on the
writer. Furthermore, after much discussion with Nathanson, George Lucas
finally gave the Indy script his thumbs up of approval. The script
then shot over to Spielberg who also gave it a thumbs up. So, this new Indy
script is doing well and only needs approval from one more extremely valuable
asset- Harrison Ford.
Obviously there is no such thing as Indiana Jones without... well...
Indiana himself. Therefore, Harrison Ford also has script review priviledges,
allowing him to give the project [with this script] the go head or the hammer.
After the Indy script issue gets resolved, the next question moves
onto the returning cast and release date. Last reports said summer of 2006,
but so far we still need a fully approved script. Here is to keeping your
fingers crossed.
