'We got another bug'
While trying to keep an eye out on more early reviews
I stumbled across a review for The
Island that said it was just OK. However, that wasn't
what caught my attention, at the end of the post it was stated that Columbia
Pictures wants to create another Men in Black that will feature
the return of both Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.
Can you Say MIB 3?
A reader of the site AICN
was kind enough to not only send in his movie review of The Island,
but of some discussions he had with Bay and other producers. One of those
discussions just happened to be with Walter Parks [producer of The Island]
and he states that some big projects may be heading our way. Here is a snippet
from the post:
I also spoke with Walter Parkes (Producer of The Island) who told me that a third Men In Black project was in the "planning phase" and they hope to have both Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones to return for a third time. Right now the project is still in development phase, so go figure.
A Men in Black 3? I'm in, even if the second wasn't nearly as good
as the first. Now that the studio has realized that the film won't offer
a guarantee hit [but still a nice box office], hopefully they will pick
up the slack dropped on MIB 2. If anything, Smith and Tommy Lee
Jones can always offer an entertaining romp of a movie. So cheers to MIB
3.
