Starting around October of last year, it was reported
that Keith Richards was going to be playing the part of Jack Sparow's [Johnny
Depp] father in Pirates
of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
Pirates has no Richards
After having a couple reports sent in, it would
seem that Keith Richards is definitely out of the cast for the Pirates
of the Caribbean sequels. However, this does not mean that Richards
was not wanted for the film. Instead, Richards decided that his dedication
to the Rolling Stones was much higher on priorities than playing a role
in a movie.
According to the discussions, Richards regrets having missed the opportunity
but is just too busy with his music.
This report may actually be old news to some, as
I have had to deal with multiple reports sent in the last week and a half.
