Say bye-bye to Nightcrawler
Not to end the Father's Day Weekend on bad news,
but Alan Cumming [known for films such as Plunkett & Macleane
and Eyes Wide Shut] has just announced that we should not expect
his return as Nightcrawler in X-Men
3.
X3 Loses Nightcrawler
What! The best scene in all of X-Men 2: X-Men
United was the opening scene with Nightcrawler tearing up the White
House; and now we want to give him the boot? Besides serving up some great
action, Alan Cumming's character offered a sizable portion of heart for
the film. I don't know what is going on with this choice, but here is a
post from Alan Cumming's official site:
EX X MAN!! Alan will NOT be appearing in X3.
Fox has not picked up his option to play Nightcrawler for a second movie.
Fox does what it can to keep Storm, but decides to throw out Nightcrawler.
I am at a loss. Is Halle Berry going to show blatant boobies like she did
in Swordfish... or how about a sex scene [which X3 supposedly
contains] like Monsters Ball? I need to understand this move.
