For all of the War
of the Worlds fans out there anxious to get their hands
on everything Spielberg, Paramount has just released sample tracks for the
soundtrack composed by John Williams.

The War of the Worlds soundtrack, judging
by the latest samples provided over at the official Paramount site, offers
a darker side to John Williams. For War of the Worlds, Williams
drops the perky march style music and slows down the overall tempo to create
a disturbing mood that should carry out through the entire running of the
film.
