Woohoo! Some one has seen Tim Burton's Charlie
and the Chocolate Factory and have recently posted their
review online. Now, I have to admit that I am not too much of a fan of the
trailers; did that 'Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka' song get stuck in your head?
While they do entertain, I hope they are not a spitting image of how the
film is going to be. So what did the reviewer think? He freakin loved it!
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Review
With all the marketing going on for Fantastic
Four [has already received a negative review OUCH] and
War of the Worlds
[great reviews YEAH], I had forgotten that we can expect Charlie and
the Chocolate Factory on July 15th. With a release date this close,
this first review is probably only the breaking - of - the - seal for more
reviews. Besides greatly enjoying the film, the reviewer goes one notch
further to call Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the best Tim
Burton film since Edward Scissorhands. Here is a snippet from the
review, sent in to AICN,
below:
The entire first act of the film is perfect. And I don’t say that lightly. Everything is done/shown/said/heard exactly as it should be. The rest of the film is great too, but the first act is truly flawless.
Furthermore, I would say that this film is near perfect on a technical level. With the small exception of Violet’s transformation into a blueberry and the Wonkavator sequence, the CG, miniature and matte work is impressive and seamless.
Not too bad at all! To check out the entire review
