Wedding Crashers
After hearing a little bit of early negative buzz
for Wedding Crashers,
some claiming that the film was another step downhill for Vaughn, it is
nice to see a ray of hope in this early review.
Wedding Crashers Review
The good people over at AICN
have posted one of the first early reviews coming out of the Vince Vaughn
/ Owen Wilson comedy Wedding Crashers. Considering that Wedding
Crashers is one of the few films of the summer that fit strictly in
the comedy genre, one would hope that this film would have us laughing our
ass off. However, early buzz and the fact that Vaughn is beginning to make
films like Dodgeball is a huge deterrent. The only ray of hope
for this film comes from this review posted over at AICN,
which claims that Wedding Crashers is laugh - out - loud funny.
Overall, this film is exactly what a comedy should be, funny. It makes you laugh, sometimes cheap laughs and at other times complex laughs. The arrival of cameos (like they'd make an Owen Wilson movie and not have a cameo) will make those who are familiar with these actors shrill with glee. And the good news is, I wasn't the only one laughing. The entire theater would errupt with laughter and all generally had the same opinions of it. It's funny.
I have loved Vince Vaughn since he was the number-one
player in Swingers. Hopefully Wedding Crashers will prove
that he still has the ability to make us laugh. Owen Wilson is due a good
comedy too, he hasn't had a screaming-ly - funny film since Zoolander.
