Fantastic Four
Being up in Banff, Canada for the moment I have
been unable to run over to the theatres somewhere around here and check
out Fantastic Four.
However, I have seen the posts, read the rumors, checked out the reviews,
and saw the box office... so what is next?
Fantastic Four Movie Updates
Even though Fantastic Four faced a set of early reviews that were
favoring the negative, the film was able to have the third-best opening
of the summer with somewhere around the mark of $20M. With numbers like
this, it is easy to start imagining a sequel for Fantastic Four.
It also helps that most of the critics are hoping that this is an introductory
film for a much better sequel.
According to a report sent in SHH,
the latest issue of EMPIRE [UK Issue] sits down with Tim Story and gets
him to discuss Fantastic Four and sequel possibilities. Here is
a snippet from the Story / Fantastic Four conversation.
'And, being an origin movies, there's endless possibilities for sequels.
"I hope that we can come back for the second one, because from frame one we can go beserk," laughs Story. "There's no concrete answers yet, but we are thinking a lot about what would happen in number two. One thing that's for certain is that you do get to see Reed and Sue get married, which would be incredible." '

While the box office numbers show a good probability of a Fantastic
Four sequel, the movie reviews definitely state otherwise. According
to RottenTomatoes,
Fantastic Four has a rating of 27%, which is not exactly 'fresh'.
