At the end of June Domino Harvey passed away inside
her home from undisclosed causes. This is the same Domino Harvey that the
upcoming Tony Scott romp titled Domino
is based on. Played by Keira Knightely, Domino tells the story of Domino
Harvey, a model - turned - bounty hunter who gave up her priviledged life
in order to hunt down and shoot people. Good times.
In a surprising move by New Line, the film's release date has been changed...
but for the better. What can they say?.. Death is great marketing!
Domino Wide Release Is...
Domino was originally intended to come
to theatres on November 4th. However, New Line Cinema has recently decided
to move the release date of the film to August 19th; adding Domino
to the list of summer blockbusters. Did the move have anything to do with
the death of Domino Harvey, considering that Domino is a biopic
[sort of] on this individual? New Line Cinema answers that question with
a hard NO, but you still have got to wonder. The death of the individual
that the main character is based on can only help spread word of the film
even quicker.
No matter what the intentions of New Line Cinema
or if the change in release date was planned or not, it is always nice to
have a film pushed forward [as long as it is finished]. According to rumors
sent in, there may be some chance of brief nudity with now - very - legal
Keira Knightley, so lets hurry this release along ay!
