There is one thing that is good about me not being
done with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, I was able
to hold back my temptation to run to my local bookstore and battle other
muggles over the first copies of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Not even finished with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix you ask?
Well, this is my second time reading it...
Half-Blood Prince Comes to Muggles!
Yes, I have now read Harry
Potter and the Goblet of Fire twice and am in the process
of reading the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix twice.
Why you ask? First off, the books are just so damn good. Second, I am preparing
to do a book - vs - film comparison for Harry Potter and the Goblet
of Fire; just as I did for Harry
Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Third, while discussing
some Potter details with some of the fans that have contacted me by email
[yes, I answer emails], I realized that there was some important info that
I had forgotten from Order of the Phoenix. How can I begin reading
Half-Blood Prince if I go into it somewhat blind?
I cannot wait to see the Potter book sales tally by the end of
this weekend. These puppies are selling faster than Wonka bars carrying
golden tickets! I have been striving to get some non - Potter -
readers to start reading the books, but have had little success. I even
told my sister I'd give her $50 if she read Harry Potter and the Goblet
of Fire within two weeks. But what can I say, some people just don't
know how good these books are.
I just started reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
a couple days ago and am already on page 350, so I should have this puppy
completed by next week. And, considering that my birthday is July 17th,
I expect that I get Half-Blood Prince as a gift for the occasion.
Now I can't remember why I started this post in
the first place. Oh yeah! If you have any non-spoiler reviews you want to
send in, we may just post them! I am currently searching for some of the
earliest reviews online, but have yet to find any. Stay tuned this weekend
for reviews for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
