While Tim Burton's new stop animation film, The
Corpse Bride, hasn't been a secret, it hasn't been stealing the spotlight
either. But with Charlie
and the Chocolate Factory out, The
Corpse Bride is getting some press-namely, the full-length
trailer seen with Charlie.
The Corpse Bride Comes Into the Light
The trailer gives the story of The Corpse Bride,
a frightened bridegroom with an ironic case of cold feet accidentally marries
a skeleton. The trailer tells us she's scary, but she's beautiful. Victor
(the groom) tries to reconcile his marriage to a dead woman, with his love
for a live one.
The plot will hopefully reveal itself to be as good as we expect from Burton
when the movie finally comes out in September, what the trailer promises
is fantastic artwork. Tim Burton creates yet another world out of the depths
of his gray matter. The scenes in the trailer alone were enough to give
the audience a taste of the dark and, yes, beautiful world of The Corpse
Bride. If you aren't sold on seeing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
