Transformers
Once I heard the news that Steven Spielberg jumped
on to produce the Michael Bay film Transformers,
I knew we had something. Immediately I begun to try to imagine how cool
it is going to look to see a car, boat, or plane become a walking, talking,
transformer [more than meets the eye!]. Well, it seems that my imagination
did not have to stretch too far, as Dreamworks has shown a special preview
of what to expect from the film at Comic-Con. And, lucky for us, somebody
bootlegged this preview and has posted it online. More than meets the eye!
Transformers Footage
The featurette shown over at San Diego Comic -
Con features a brief hello from Steven Spielberg and why he thinks Transformers
is going to be cool. Then, for about the next minute, we get to watch fans
reminisce on how cool Transformers are and the hard core following that the
comic book story still has. Ok, watching fans talk about Transformers
is not that amazing, but around the two-minute mark in the clip [half way
through] Dreamworks decides to show off some real cool stuff.
The later footage includes sample action sequences done through animation
and, best of all, tons of different examples of your standard transportation
machinery turning into kick ass robots. If you think the new Volkswagen
Bug has a good look, wait till you see it sprout arms and legs.
