Karl Urban in DOOM
I have just been alerted that the first movie trailer
for the upcoming adaptation of the best-selling video game DOOM
is now online. In our last report we had stated that DOOM was a
hit at the San Diego Comic Con and helped squelch some of the larger concerns
for the film [such as the R-rating]. It was also reported that a trailer
was shown for the film, which is probably this same trailer they have recently
posted online.
DOOM Trailer
After watching the first trailer to DOOM
I had a major moment of deja vu that was a mixture between Alone
in the Dark and Resident Evil II. The only problem
with this is that neither of these films were good and it DOOM
should not want to show a similarity to either of them. However, The Rock
hasn't completely failed me yet, making my hopes remain for a much better
looking full trailer.
Some of the cool additions to the first DOOM trailer include the
shots of Karl Urban [LOTR] and the various alien baddies adapted
from the first - person - shooter. And, if my eyes are not mistaken, we
also get to see a quick glimpse of the BFG [big f*@cking gun] in action.
