Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott on set of Gladiator
In their last collaboration, Ridley Scott and Russell
Crowe struck gold with their 2000 Oscar-award winning film, Gladiator.
The duo may be working together again if the deal is finalized.
A Good Year
A Good Year is Scotts next directorial
project, which will possibly star Crowe. However, this collaboration will
be nothing like their last, not that we all want a repeat, but this film
is supposed to be a comedy.
As a London Banker, Crowe's character will travel to France upon inheriting a vineyard. However, upon his arrival he meets an American woman who claims she owns the acreage.
This film is being adapted from a Peter Mayle novel
by Marc Klein (Serendipity), and is expected to start tentatively
in September. Scotts Scott Free Prods will be producing the film.
