Here is a brief casting update for the Bryan Singer
- less film X-Men 3.
The young blonde from The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl,
Cayden Boyd, has been selected to fill the role of a younger Angel in X3.
Now my only question is why do we need a young Angel?
Boyd is Angel
I am assuming that X-Men 3 plans to feature
flashbacks or show an Angel who grows up quickly. Actually, I have no idea
what the reasoning is behind this move, but the official fansite for the
Boyd's, Jenna & Cayden, has recently assured us that we can definitely
expect Cayden Boyd in the film.
Here is the post from the Jenna
& Cayden fansite:
I have been anxiously waiting to post this and now I can. Cayden booked a dream role in the upcoming X-Men 3 movie.
“Cayden Boyd will play the young Archangel in 20th Century Fox’s ‘X3’, directed by Brett Ratner. Ben Foster will play the adult version of the same X-Men character. Boyd recently starred in ‘The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D’ and is scheduled to star as the title character in ‘West Texas Children’s Story’, with lensing scheduled for fall. He is repped by Endeavor and Hofflund-Polone Management.”
Interesting, very interesting. Maybe somebody can
give me a heads up on why we need a young Angel in the first place. According
to Halle Berry, this is the final X-Men film, so there is no room
for Angel to grow up.
