Indiana Jones updates.
Woohoo! Got a nice bunch of new updates concerning
the current status of the upcoming Lucas / Spielberg film Indiana
Jones 4. I was first contacted by 'eddie' telling me to
check out the latest updates over at indyexperience and then I was immediately
contacted by a reader asking me to check a piece from LatinoReview. What
did I learn? Well, I can tell you for sure that there is definitely a leak
among the Indy crew and he / she definitely doesn't mind keeping
everybody informed.
Indiana Jones IV Developments
I first head over to theindyexperience
to check out what all the commotion was about over there. What I discovered
was that the fansite has just been tipped off on little Indy IV
details to help give us a better idea on Steven Spielberg, the Indy
IV script, and Harrison Ford's involvement. According to the site,
they claim that Harrison Ford has already approved the almost - finished
script, Steven Spielberg has marked the date on his calendar to begin working
on the film [right after Munich], and George Lucas expects to have
the script polished by this fall. While this is all good news, the coolest
bit of information is that Paramount has posted the first release date for
Indiana Jones IV-- February 2nd, 2007.
To check out more detailed information on this and further information,
head over to theindyexperience.
After stopping off at the Indy fansite I went over
to LatinoReview to see what all
the commotion was about over there. I don't know what it is, but it seems
that this informant(s) decided to spill multiple Indy IV details
on the same day. The scoop sent over to LR stated that Sean Connery will
not have a role in the next Indiana Jones film and explains the
real reasons why George Lucas rejected the first draft of the script written
by Jeff Nathanson.
According to the report, Lucas rejected the first script because it didn't
have enough action for the first half of the film and the ladder half was
way too far out of budget. To check out the entire, detailed, report on
this, head over to LatinoReview.
Not a bad set of Indiana Jones 4 updates if I may say so myself,
but what we really need is to finally hear a solid thumbs up from Lucas
that he approves the script. If you remember, Lucas said he approved the
Nathanson script only to change this statement later.
