Considering that Walt Disney Pictures has picked
up the marketing pressure for their upcoming film Valiant
by the release of an extended 'sneak peak' clip, I should have figured we'd
finally get a dose of movie stills for the animation. It is a good thing
too, as we only had one before this.
Valiant Stills
Actually, I am still very cautious about deciding
if Valiant is worth an opening weekend theatre visit. The film
comes out on August 19th and Disney has done very little [besides the latest]
to promote the film. If the distribution company doesn't have faith in the
film should we? That being said, here is a brief synopsis to Valiant
and the following movie stills below:
From the producer of "Shrek" and "Shrek 2," comes this high-flying computer-animated comedy-adventure tale of a brave-but-undersized pigeon named Valiant (voiced by Ewan McGregor), who dreams of joining the elite Royal Homing Pigeon Service (RHPS), and serving crown and country during World War II.
Despite his small stature, Valiant's ambitions are enormous as he keeps a stiff upper beak and endures rigorous training in preparation for a dangerous mission to deliver vital messages to troops behind enemy lines. With a shortage of wingpower in the royal fleet due to increased attacks by a brigade of vicious enemy falcons (led by the ruthless General Von Talon), the mission falls to Valiant and the unlikely heroes of "Squad F" to try and save the day.
French underground mouse?
Either the mouse is hot or has down syndrome... take your pick.
Not much of a soldier.
New recruits.
Considering that Valiant is only a couple
of Fridays away, I can only hope for Disney that we get some early reviews
that report that this animation is something we should want to see.
Valiant flies into theatres on August 19th.
