The 40 Year-Old Virgin
After watching the international trailer for The
40 Year-Old Virgin-- you know... the one that is unedited
-- I was convinced that Steve Carell has delivered yet again another hilarious
movie. Then I began to read early reviews that claimed that not only was
this film funny, but it is the 'real R comedy of the summer.' Now, with
all that being done, why would MovieFone choose a couple of clips that are
only par at best?
40 Year-Old Clips
MovieFone did this same thing for Wedding
Crashers. After watching the clips they had for that movie,
I was convinced that Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn were probably going to
strike out again. However, as we all know now, that was not the case. Because
of Wedding Crashers, I am hoping that this is the exact same thing
that MovieFone is doing with The 40 Year-Old Virgin. The two new
clips shown both feature Steve Carell as he handles strange women, and both
have a light humorous effect. However, neither clips had me laughing out
loud, which I had figured they should considering the status of the film
so far.
After finishing the two clips for The 40 Year-Old Virgin I can
only think how much I wished we could get international clips as well.
