It is really hard to decide on how to take this
latest news sent over by 'eddie'. A little while back we had posted a rumor
that there could be a Young Indiana Jones movie in the works, but
there was no further information at that point. Well, the latest scoop claims
that not only is a movie in the works, but a young Indy has already been
found. Who could possibly be up to play the role of a younger Harrison Ford?

Actually, it should be more like 'could be' young
Indiana. In a report released by IVT.Com, reposted at theindyexperience,
Haley Joel Osment could be set to star in a series of Young Indiana
Jones movies that will feature him as Young Indy. Here is the report
below:
The Sixth Sense star Haley Joel Osment will take over as Indiana Jones on the big screen if Harrison Ford's last starring turn as the action archaeologist is a hit.
The 17-year-old actor remains the favourite to play Young Indiana Jones in a string of new movies and would start work as soon as the fourth Indiana Jones film is released in 2007 if he is awarded the part.
A source tells website Moviehole.net, "Haley Joel Osment was in talks, in 2000, to do a variation on Young Indy.
"At 17, he's the right age for the role."
While it is good to know that we have a wonderful
young actor set to play the role, I do have my reservations on Haley Joel
Osment. Sure, he was the cute boy from the thriller The Sixth Sense,
but this kid has grown up. Osment looks to be taking the Macaulay Culkin
path where he goes from child cutie to adolescent creepo. However, this
opinion could just be my own, but still check out Osment's new mug in the
picture above.
