It is DVD Tuesday again and what better than
the release of the Frank Miller/Robert Rodriguez film spectacular Sin
City. But that's not all, we got a couple other DVDs that
can have you running to your local Borders, Tower, Best Buy, Circuit City
or wherever the hell you purchase DVDs from.
DVD Releases- August 16th
Sin City
Let's not play games, we all know that the number
one most anticipated DVD for August is the adaptation of Frank Miller's
graphic novel Sin City.
This film has got it all-- story, great cinematography, nudity, action,
and hard nose dialogue; everything Frank Miller's graphic novel was. The
only issue I had with the film was the fact that Jessica
Alba played Nancy, the most popular stripper in town. How can
she be the most popular stripper in Basin City if she doesn't even show
any skin? Well, maybe I am just upset that we were 'this close' to seeing
some Jessica Alba breastasis. However, I loved the film overall and you
can read the review here.

The Brown Bunny
Directed by Vincent Gallo, the same guy who is
on Roger Ebert's hate list, The Brown Bunny's number one feature
is the fact that the film features 'real' fellatio. What does this mean?
I don't know, but if you have always wanted to be able to rent at least
a little bit of soft porn from your local Blockbuster, The Brown Bunny
may become your best bet.

The Wedding Date
Probably the DVD that your wife or girlfriend has
been bugging you about, The Wedding Date attempts to re-create
a mix of Pretty Woman and Best Friends Wedding with little
success. However, women still seem to love films such as these, especially
when they include people such as Debra Messing and Dermot Mulroney.
