Though I am still unsure on what to think about
the upcoming thriller The
Cave, the latest movie clips for the film look, uh, OK.
When the first trailer for The Cave came out I considered this
an Anaconda-esque type film that features cheesy thrills. Then the film's
release date was pushed back from April 8 to August 26th, only confirming
that The Cave may not be up to par.
The Cave Movie Clips
The only saving grace [for now] about The Cave
is that it does take place down below the Earth's surface where we find
expert climbers attempt to find a way out. Along the way this group of climbers
encounter new predators unknown to the surface; predators that have no problem
placing humans below them on the food chain.
One of the best of the new clips released for The Cave features
a pretty cool climbing stunt where the character must cut her own climbing
rope and attempt to latch on to a parallel wall. The special effects were
good, the filming was great, but the music sucked.
Heck, I'll give The Cave a little extra leeway just because it
features the Asian dude from LOST [Daniel Dae Kim ] and a tagline
that reads 'Beneath Heaven lies Hell, Beneath Hell lies...'
