Shoot Em Up Shoot 'Em Up
Mark my words: the upcoming film from New Line Cinema, Shoot 'Em Up, will be one of the coolest films of 2006 [or 2007 if date gets pushed]. The first news for Shoot 'Em Up came when New Line picked up Clive Owen to play the lead role; for that, ten points. Then came the script review, which claimed that Shoot 'Em Up could represent action greatness. Just when we seemed we couldn't get enough, the first set of animatics for the film popped up that blew our minds. In a mix between Sin City, Kill Bill and Run Lola Run, Shoot 'Em Up is getting ready to kick all our asses.

Don't believe? Check out the two latest.

Two More want to Shoot 'Em Up

In a report from TheHollywoodReporter, New Line Cinema has just picked up both Paul Giamatti and Monica Bellucci to star next to Clive Owen in Shoot 'Em Up. The story begins with a woman having a baby during a shootout. The man who delivers the baby, called simply Mr. Smith (Owen), is entrusted with protecting it from an army of gunmen. Though the woman dies the infant lives, only causing further concern for Mr. Smith, as it is the baby who is the target.

Paul Giamatti has recently been appeared in both Sideways and Cinderella Man while Monica Bellucci can be seen next Friday in the upcoming Terry Gilliam film The Brothers Grimm. Monica Bellucci made her international film debut in the film The Brotherhood of the Wolf, a French film that is worth at least a rental.
