When we first had received the first poster for
Saw 2 a couple days back we didn't think anything of it. Thinking
that this poster was just the second teaser poster for the film, we figured
we had a couple days to post it. However, it has come to our attention that
the original teaser poster for Saw 2 has been banned as 'unacceptable',
meaning that this latest is its formidable replacement.
Acceptable Saw 2 Poster
According to a report from TheHollywoodReporter,
the MPAA recently announced that its Advertising Administration, which reviews
all advertising and publicity materials submitted by producers and distributors
for a film rating, had not approved the material. The organization stated,
"materials for the film 'Saw II' (that) display dismembered fingers
... is unacceptable under Advertising Administration standards." Though
this means a few graphic artists had to come together quickly under the
Lions Gate Films banner, it couldn't be a better promotion for the film.
