There have been so many names suggested for
the next Bond that it can make you head spin. Though I was rooting for Clive
Owen to appear in the latest Bond production, Casino Royale, it
turns out that the spotlight is on a different doctor.
Goran Visnjic is Bond?
Best known to fans of the ER television
series as Dr. Luka Kovac, Goran Visnjic is the upcoming contender for the
role of Bond in the upcoming spy film Casino Royale. In a report
from TV Guide, reposted by LatinoReview,
Goran Visnjic is up against names such as Alex O'Lachlan, Henry Cavill,
and Ewan Stewart for the role of Bond. Check out a snippet below:
Yes, it's true [about Goran possibly becoming Bond]. But should he get the role, it wouldn't mean the end of Kovac. "We have a contingency plan," says exec producer David Zabel. "We would film a bunch of stuff [with Kovac] at one time for later episodes. Or, depending on where the Bond film was shooting, he might be able to work on both at the same time.
Though I find this choice in actor extremely interesting,
I say let Bond remain more on the 'English' side and allow Clive Owen to
give it a shot. Hell, let him drive a BMW in the film and he'll be right
at home.
