George Clooney in Intolerable Cruelty
After watching the comedy Intolerable Cruelty
starring George Clooney and Catherine Zeta-Jones, I have been drooling for
another go with the Coen Brothers. Clooney and company were nothing short
of hilarious, making Cruelty a very underrated comedy.
So, if you have not seen Intolerable Cruelty, go rent it. And,
if you have seen the film already, I am pleased to announce that Clooney
has confirmed that he will be teaming up with the Coen Brothers for another
go.
Clooney, Coen Brothers all Hail, Caesar!
In a scoop from the good people over at AintitCool,
they have announced that the Coen Brothers plan to go forward with the upcoming
film Hail, Caesar!, a comedy set in the 1920's about a group of
idiots who attempt to put on a play based on the Greek tragedy. According
to the Coen brothers, Hail, Caesar! will finish their idiot trilogy
with Clooney [Intolerable Cruelty and O Brother].
Though the brief synopsis for Hail, Caesar!
does not sound extremely funny, these are the same guys that were able to
make a hilarious comedy out of attorneys, love and divorce. Did we expect
that? Check out our review of Intolerable
Cruelty.
What are the odds that they get Paul Adelstein to take a role in Hail,
Caesar!? He made a great partner to George Clooney in Cruelty
and I would love to see them re-team if for only one last time.
