Ever since the quest to find all the villains
for Spider-Man 3
we only wanted two things-- answers and Venom. To be honest, we expected
to have this mystery solved a couple of months ago, but Sony loves keeping
us on our toes with new reports and rumors; somewhere Sam Raimi is laughing
his ass off. Well, it looks like we may be closing in on a decision and,
as we hoped, Venom will be making a visit in Spider-Man 3.
Spider-Man 3 Villains
According to a report from FreezeDriedMovies,
Topher Grace will in fact be playing Venom, unlike the earlier report that
claimed he would just be another shape of the Chameleon. Now that Topher
Grace has been selected, that leaves Thomas Haden Church to be Sandman and
James Franco to play the part of Hobgoblin. Check out a snippet of the Spider-Man

FDM has learned that Topher Grace of That 70s Show will play the immortal VENOM in Sam Raimi's third Spiderman adaptation. We told you guys a few months back that "someone" has snagged the rights to the character of Venom off of New Line Cinema and it was reported a few days ago that Grace had been "bulking up"- so we decided it was time to put the pressure on. So there you have it VENOM!
Even though James Franco will play the role of
Hobgoblin [instead of the second Green Goblin like the comics], don't expect
too much from the villain in this film. It has been reported that during
the run of Spider-Man 3 we will encounter Harry Osborn as he trains
to become the powerful villain. The ending of the film will setup Hobgoblin's
role in the sequel.
So, here is the updated villain list [for now]: Topher Grace = Venom , Thomas
Haden Church = Sandman , James Franco = Hobgoblin.
Venom may still have a chance in Topher Grace.
