Heath Ledger is Casanova
When we first heard that Heath Ledger was set to
star as the famous player, Casanova,
we could only begin to think that this film would do for love what Knights
Tale did for knights. However, we may soon be eating our words, as
the first trailer for the film looks nothing short of fun and charm.

Thanks to the heads up, and poster, from Joblo,
Touchstone Pictures has recently released an international trailer for the
upcoming film Casanova. Though it is odd that we would see a low-res
international trailer for the film first, we still have tons of time to
catch a full trailer before the film hits theatres. Starring Heath Ledger,
Sienna Miller, Jeremy Irons, Oliver Platt, Lena Olin, Lauren Cohan, Charlie
Cox and Christopher Egan, Casanova serves up a romance comedy that
is surprisingly charming. I will even go one step further and say that I
really do enjoy Heath Ledger's performance in this role [at least from the
trailer].
For the first time in his life, the legendary Casanova (Heath Ledger) is
about to meet his match with an alluring Venetian beauty, Francesca (Sienna
Miller), who does the one thing he never thought possible: refuse him. Through
a series of clever disguises and scheming ruses, he manages to get ever
closer to Francesca. But he is playing the most dangerous game he has ever
encountered - one that will risk not only his life and reputation, but his
only chance at true passion.
