DOOM
has become one of the top films here at CanMag.Com for two reasons-- First,
it is based off of the best-selling PC game [gamers are moviegoers] and,
second, the full trailer for DOOM was incredibly cool with its
application of FPS to the cinematography. Now, we are still hoping that
there may be an international or second trailer for the film to further
prove that this adaptation kicks ass, but for now we will have to accept
this official poster; a poster that is sub-par if you ask me.
DOOM Poster
Earlier today Universal Pictures had finally released
the official movie poster for DOOM; only a couple days after the
poster began to appear online thanks to a photo.
As I said before, I am not extremely impressed with this poster for DOOM.
Why didn't Universal just take a cool screenshot from the actual film showing
off the FPS style? Instead, we have a poster that looks like it was created
during the time of original Nintendo... and that is pretty old-school [in
the worst way].
Official DOOM poster.
Err, maybe I just need the poster to grow on me,
but I still have my doubts. Is there any possibility that Universal will
pull a Warner Bros and create fifty different posters for a single film?
As of right now I hope so.
All hell breaks lose on October 21st, 2005.
