Even though A
Scanner Darkly, the animated adaptation of the novel by
Philip K. Dick, had its release date pushed back to some time in 2006 [predicted
March], Warner Independent Pictures continues to release solid gold when
it comes to promotions for this film. The animation is the epitome of unique,
the characters are excellent and the novel definitely gets its share due
of respect. Hurry up your artists and crank out this film!
Just playing. Take your time, judging from the look of the trailer I can
tell that this film must be a bitch to create. Luckily, it looks like Warner
Independent is taking the Warner Bros approach to movie posters and has
recently delivered four new amazing posters for A Scanner Darkly.
Scanner Darkly Character Posters
About a future where drugs have become king and
even cops are known to take a hit called Substance D. The result is various
cops, including undercover cop Fred [Reeves], developing split personalities.
While Fred works as a cop, his alter-ego works as a man named Bob, a top
level drug dealer. Fred must find a way to catch Bob.
The story, written by Philip K. Dick, is dark and dirty, something that
the upcoming animation has picked up with all its essence.
Winona Ryder in A Scanner Darkly
Robert Downey Jr. in A Scanner Darkly
Woody Harrelson in A Scanner Darkly
Keanu Reeves in A Scanner Darkly
These latest posters for A Scanner Darkly
are just too cool, which makes me want to ask Warner Independent Pictures
to send them all over to my place.
A Scanner Darkly was pushed back from a September release date
to March 2006.
