Jon Heder is one of those actors who could have
experienced career suicide starting right out the gates. With his role as
Napoleon in the iconic film Napoleon Dynamite, it soon became impossible
to seperate the Heder mug from that of an old school looking nerd. However,
Heder is trying to break from this image with roles in Just Like Heaven
and now Mama's Boy.

According to Variety,
Jon Heder will take the starring role in Mama's Boy, a Warner Independent
Pictures comedy that will mark the feature directorial debut of Tim Hamilton.
Heder will play an arrogant pseudo-intellectual, slightly above Napoleon,
whose ideal life of living at home with his angelic mom in Texas is threatened
when she falls in love with a self-help guru and prepares to marry him.
The script was written by Hank Nelken with Heidi Santelli set to produce.
Since making Napoleon Dynamite, Heder has made the most of his
newfound popularity. He'll next be seen alongside Reese Witherspoon and
Mark Ruffalo in the romantic comedy Just Like Heaven, followed
by The Benchwarmers. Heder will also star alongside Billy Bob Thornton
in the upcoming Todd Phillips-directed School for Scoundrels.
