Viktor Krum (Stanislav Ianevski), who is competing in the Triwizard Tournament
for the Eastern European Durmstrang Wizarding School, is Hermione Granger’s
(Emma Watson) date for the Yule Ball. Ice sculptures and magical hanging icicles decorate the ballroom.
Though most are now anticipating the earliest news
for the full trailer of Harry
Potter and the Goblet of Fire, what we have to offer is
more like a buffet of Potter news.
Goblet of Fire Updates
First off, USA
Today has recently posted an inside look at Harry Potter
and the Goblet of Fire and have provided three new movie stills for
the film.
Actually, the movie stills are basically all USA Today had to provide, except
for a brief summary on the release of the film and how Mike Newell was the
director. You can check out two of the GOF stills here [to the
right and below]. For the entire report on Goblet of Fire go to

We have also received word that Patrick Doyle has finished recording the
original soundtrack score for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,
thanks to the help of the London Symphony Orchestra. Yes, it's true; John
Williams will not be back for this fourth Potter installment. However,
it is still likely that we will catch quite a few moments of the original
music. Stay tuned for a special article that will compare Williams' music
with Doyle's; Warner Bros has yet to release any tracks from the soundtrack.
Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) carries out his first task in the Triwizard Tournament: to retrieve a golden egg in the center of an arena guarded by the most malevolent of all dragons, the Hungarian Horntail.
We also received an email from 'carolyn' who claims
to have been approached by Warner Bros marketing to see how viewers respond
to either the upcoming trailer for the film.
I was at borders doing my usually try
- find - a - book - to - last -me - till - harry - potter - number - seven,
when a woman there asked me if i would take a movie survey. In this survey,
i saw a preview for Goblet of Fire. it was awesome...i had never seen those
scenes in ANY of the previews or trailers! Some of the things they played
where:
Harry w/o a shirt he looks FINE!)
Prof. Magonagal teaching Ron to dance; "put your hand on my waist." "put my hand where!?"
Harry reading a newspaper, taking a sip of his water, and upon seeing Cho, spit it out!
the ship
Ron getting kissed multiple times on the face by some soaking wet blonde
and multiple other scenes!
it was really cool and i cant wait for the full trailer and the movie to finally come out!!!!!
In the end, the above email is just a little more motivation to get you
excited for the upcoming trailer.
Last, but not least, we have recently received gameplay video and a couple
new stills for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: The Video
Game thanks to EA Games. Though I am always extremely skeptical about
games based off of popular films, the gameplay footage did look pretty stinking
fun; even though it still did have that 'G' feel to it. The only thing that
bummed me out about the game footage was that it only showed the campsite
and a couple Tri-Wizard Tasks. How about a finale on the footage with the
appearance of he - who - must - not - be - named? You can check out the
game footage by clicking HERE
or the rendered characters for Ron and Harry below.
