Though I did enjoy The Breakfast Club
and can understand how it became on iconic classic, you didn't see me jumping
up and down out of my seat by the rumors of a possible sequel. Well, it
turns out that the entire success for any chance of a sequel lied solely
on a single person-- Emilio Estevez. Unfortunately for some, he is just
not feeling it.
Estevez on Outsiders, Breakfast, Bobby
and Simon
We received an email some time ago from 'Trip McNeely'
mentioning the current developments of Emilio Estevez and the announcement
that he will not be going for The Breakfast Club 2. Unfortunately
we were so busy with updating the server and handling the Gerard Butler
/ Viggo Mortensen strife that we haven't been able to get to it till now.
Hi Gents,
A bit in the latest 'People' that might interest you. They were discussing
THE OUTSIDERS, because of the film's anniversary.
Here's what's under EE's item -
Emilio Estevez will not be starring in a sequel to The Breakfast Club,
and as a consequence, there is no longer a project.
Instead, Estevez will continue to develop his own projects, they say,
including "Bobby", which co-stars Anthony Hopkins, Demi Moore, Elijah
Wood, Mos Def, Lindsay Lohan and Estevez himself.
"Estevez is said to be interested in re-teaming with brother Charlie, too,
with one rumor suggesting the actors might be keen on bringing one of
Estevez's favourite TV series, "Simon & Simon", to the big screen".
Call me 'Trip McNeely'
If you were counting on the possibility of a sequel
to The Breakfast Club, you should have probably taken the hint
when Emilio Estevez didn't show up for the little reunion this year at the
MTV Movie Awards.
