Ryan
Reynolds will be doing so many comedies this year and
next that we are beginning to lose count. This year you can see him in Waiting
and Just Friends,
but next year he has a ton of projects that include Smokin' Aces,
Blowback, Ride Along and now Chaos Theory.
Reynolds has a Chaos Theory
According to Variety, Ryan Reynolds has been selected
to star in the comedy Chaos Theory for Castle Rock Entertainment
and Warner Independent Pictures. Marcos Siega has been hired to direct the
comedy.
Daniel Taplitz wrote the screenplay, which tells a story about a man who
finds out he is sterile and that his daughter was actually fathered by his
best friend. Talk about double jeopardy, but at least the man gained a daughter
out of the mess.
Marcos Siega is known for other comedies such as the latest indie film Pretty
Persuasion. Though that film was able to pull its weight
in gold, Siega's other film, Underclassmen, was a pretty piece
of shit.
Warner Independent Pictures will release the film
in North America, while Inferno will handle international rights. Production
for Chaos Theory is slated to begin in early 2006.
As mentioned above, expect to see Ryan Reynolds popping in and out of theatres
almost on a bi-monthly basis for the next year or two. Fortunately, he has
brought friends like Dwayne
"The Rock" Johnson with him.
