It has been some time since we have had any new
video clips for the upcoming film The
Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe.
Though I am somewhat relieved, as the title of this film is a bitch to write
out repeatedly, these latest behind - the - scenes featurettes look amazing.
Chronicles of Narnia Clips
The latest two featurettes for The Chronicles
of Narnia are 'The Story' and 'Visual Effects'. Though 'The Story'
is a nice tribute to C. S. Lewis and the depth of Narnia, it is 'Visual
Effects' that will blow your mind.
Now, I have to admit that I had my doubts on two major aspects of the film.
My first issue was the realism of the Narnia characters; in terms of look and movements.
How were ILM, Disney and Andrew Adamson going to create a realistic looking
Mr and Mrs Beaver or a realistic Aslan? After watching the trailer, I thought
Aslan looked 'good enough.' However, the featurette on visual effects offers
an example of a digital lion walking next to a little girl on a sidewalk,
an example that looks to good to be true. Bring on Aslan!
To top it off, the battle scene in The Chronicles of Narnia looks
up to the standards of Lord of the Rings. Using the same program
that the LOTRs trilogy used, ILM and friends have created a realistic
battlefield with even more imaginary characters and creatures. Great stuff!
