Jennifer Aniston and Clive Owen in Derailed
Are you sick of movie trailers yet? Well, I hope
not, as there are a couple more coming our way by the end of the week. In
the last article we showed off the first trailer for the upcoming film The
Matador from The Weinstein Company. Well, now we have
the second Weinstein Company trailer for Derailed.
The fact that both these films look good is a solid testament to the know-how
of the Weinstein's.
Derailed Trailer
My only complaint about the first trailer for Derailed
is that it spends too much time [about three-quarters] on the build up of
the relationship between Clive Owen's and Jennifer Aniston's characters.
By the time the relationship has been established, there are only about
twenty seconds left in the trailer to show anything else. Once the twist,
or should I say hold up, finally kicks in, the trailer goes as fast as it
can to help give us a gist on the 'thriller' aspect to the film.
Even though I was slightly disappointed with that aspect of the trailer,
my appreciation of Clive Owen
is enough to make amends. Derailed does look to be one hell of
a film with maybe even a naughty segment with Jennifer Aniston in the mix.
After watching Closer, we all know that Clive can definitely get
a little dirty in the sheets.
Derailed is on a small list of the first slate of films coming
from the 'new' distributor The Weinstein Company. To see what to expect,
check out the first trailer over at MovieFone.
If you don't like the trailer, at least appreciate the great line from Owen's
character to earn himself a kiss.
Derailed comes to theatres on October 21st.
