Hey all! I checked this morning at 4 AM to see
if MovieFone had yet to put up the full trailer for The
Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
and it was a no go. Luckily, I slept in a bit and was guaranteed the arrival
of the trailer by the time I sat at my desk's chair. What is new? Any secrets
revealed? Did Adamson nail it?
Chronicles of Narnia Trailer
The new full trailer starts so much darker than
that of the teaser, maybe taking note that Harry
Potter and the Goblet of Fire's popularity only rose with
the announcement of a PG-13 rating. However, don't worry if you are a fan
of the teaser trailer, as this trailer returns to that style, and music,
by the last forty or so seconds of the trailer.
In this full trailer for The Chronicles of Narnia we finally get
to see a lot more animals speak, hear Liam Neeson's voice as the kind, 'but
not tame,' lion Aslan and check out about a hundred additional shots from
the film. How does it look? Incredible! I was actually impressed by the
talking animals [some may fear that this fact will turn them away] and love
the way the final battle between Aslan and the White Witch is turning out.
The special effects are far beyond par and somewhere we have CS Lewis gitty
as a boy in his grave.
One real cool aspect I thought I'd point out, though
most may look right by it, is the entrance from the wardrobe to Narnia.
I have recently received a book that is aimed to take a reader inside Narnia
and discuss all the mysteries, loopholes and unknowns that still exist in
the novel series. One of the bigger discussions was an attempt to understand
the entrance into Narnia from the wardrobe. The book makes it seem that
Lucy had to pass through the coats, see a bright light and continue for
it. If you watch this trailer closely, you can see the transition from wardrobe
to Narnia, which is very well done.
But stop listening to me talk about it and head over to Moviefone
to watch the full trailer for the first film of The Chronicles of Narnia.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe
opens its doors on December 9th.
