A couple days ago AOL teamed up with Warner Bros
to deliver samples of the entire soundtrack for Harry
Potter and the Goblet of Fire. However, AOL
has recently pulled the tracks for some unknown reason; which is fine by
us since they could only be played with Real Player. Being a huge fan of
soundtracks and all movie music [including trailers], I would be lying if
I said that I am not slightly bummed by missing out on my chance to listen
to the entire Goblet of Fire soundtrack.
Fortunately, HarryPotterSoundtrack
has picked up a bit of the slack. Though it is not the entire soundtrack,
this official soundtrack site for Goblet of Fire has posted samples to at
least a few of the tracks.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Soundtrack
As most know by now, Patrick Doyle replaced John
Williams as composer of the Goblet of Fire score and, judging by
the tracks that we have access to, has done more than an impressive job
continuing with the theme laid down by Williams. However, don't expect to
hear the exact same music from the previous films, as Patrick Doyle has
definitely added a whole new march tone to the music, making the music play
a whole lot darker.
Let's just say that the score for Goblet of Fire definitely matches
the new rating-- PG-13.
My only wish was that the people who made the score
for the Goblet of Fire trailers, MagicBoxMusic,
would also of had a couple tracks in the film. Unfortunately, the soundtrack
details show that this is not the case.
